Blakelee Pieroni is a New York-based interdisciplinary artist, curator, and performer whose work bridges choreography, painting, digital performance, and blockchain technology. Holding a degree in Dance Media from Marymount Manhattan College, she has further honed her practice through training in oil painting and sound design, integrating these mediums into a distinctive artistic language. Over the past decade, her work has been showcased in leading venues and featured in publications such as Time Out, AM New York, A Women’s Thing, Whitehot Magazine, Articulate Magazine, CLOT Magazine, Blockster, and Decrypt.
A recognized force in both traditional and Web3 art spaces, Pieroni is the co founder of Meta Betties, a cross-reality crypto art collective minted on the Solana blockchain. Through Meta Betties, she leads a collective of eight women who use token-gated performances and digital storytelling as tools for activism, particularly focusing on reproductive rights and women's rights. The collective has performed at major art and tech events, including Art Basel Miami with Satellite Art Show and Nolcha Shows.
In addition to her performance work, Pieroni is a dedicated curator, creating large-scale exhibitions that amplify diverse voices in the contemporary art scene. Currently in residence at The Canvas 3.0 at The Oculus, World Trade Center, she brings together multidisciplinary artists to engage with social, political, and technological themes in new and immersive ways.
Pieroni also champions underrepresented narratives in the arts. She is the curator behind m OTHER, the first-ever group exhibition dedicated to stepmother artists, which evolved into a documentary that premiered at the 25th Through Women’s Eyes Film Festival in 2024. The film has since been recognized as a semi-finalist at the New York Indie Shorts Awards, screened at the Hollywood Shorts Festival, and accepted into the WIFTA Short Film Showcase. She continues this work as a contributing writer for Stepmom Magazine, featuring stepmom artists in its monthly issues.
With a bold, boundary-pushing approach, Pieroni’s work challenges conventions, fosters dialogue, and redefines the intersection of art, technology, and activism in contemporary culture.
